Attorney General William P. Barr appointed Mark K. Brooks as an Immigration Judge in December 2020. From 2012 to 2016, and previously from 1986 to 2001, he wasengaged in litigation practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland. From 2005 to 2012, heserved as an attorney advisor, Office of Chief Counsel, Federal Emergency Management Agency, DHS, in the District of Columbia. From 2001 to 2004, he served as an assistant stateattorney with the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office, in Upper Marlboro,Maryland. Judge Brooks is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and Maryland State Bar.
