Attorney General Eric Holder appointed Judge Crossan in October 2010. Judge Crossan received a bachelor of arts degree in 1979 and a juris doctorate in 1983, both from the University of Idaho. From 2008 to October 2010, he worked as an assistant chief counsel, Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, San Antonio, Texas. From 2000 to 2008, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a military judge in Washington, D.C., and as staff judge advocate in Tucson, Ariz., and San Antonio. Judge Crossan is a member of the Idaho State Bar.
