From 2003 to 2006, he was an associateat Howrey LLP, in Washington, D.C. From 2002 to 2003, he served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Peter A. Nowinski, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California, in Sacramento,Calif. Judge Walker is a member of the California and Virginia State Bars and the District of Columbia Bar.
