Then-Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker appointed Mary C. Baumgarten to beginhearing cases in March 2019. From 2007 through 2018, she served as anassistant U.S. attorney in the Western District of New York. Judge Baumgarten is a member ofthe New York Bar.
